I got my wisdom teeth pulled out today. And it sucks. Anyone have any suggestions to pass the time/pain without large amounts of painkillers or clear fluids?

I played the CRAP out of Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap when i had my wisdom teeth out. Beat it in a day.

Just relax, take it easy. The worst will be gone in a day.

I had them knock me out when I had my wisdom teeth surgically removed. Slept for a day, and then was just fine. :-)

I was one of the lucky ones - mine didn't hurt at all and I was back on my feet that afternoon.

Just be careful not to get anything stuck in the sockets. That's really really nasty.

Same story here except replace "Slept for a day" with "Slept for 3 days". I was fortunate enough to have two extra wisdom teeth on my upper jaw, 6 total, all impacted. !+)

Why wouldn't you want painkillers?

I had mine removed when I was about 17; I remember I wasn't even coherent for about 24 hours and I couldn't eat solid food for four days. Now all you kids and your modern technology and painkillers are up and walking the day you have the surgery. The anasthesia alone kept me out of commission for at least a day and a half.

You want to pass the time w/ out painkillers or alcohol, man you got me stumped. ;-7

I personally had to take painkillers and an occasional drink. When they pulled by bottom wisdom teeth they were coming in side ways and were sore for quite a bit after.

Like others have said here the anesthesia is what got to me the most. My mouth hurt like hell sure but I hated that nauseous feeling. Supposedly the first thing I said when I woke up in the doctors office was I asked for a cheeseburger and to make out with my girlfriend :-b
