Pujols/Peavy or Tex/Santana

I was discussing this with a friend the other day. Santana is obviously the choice over Peavy, but hes Peavy is top 5. And Pujols is the obvious choice over Tex, but Tex is also top 5.

What have you? And why. I'm thinking keeper wouldn't change the question much as all 4 are young, would it?

Personally, I'd take the Teixeira/Santana combo. I like Peavy, I really do, but he is not on the same level as Santana. On the other hand, Teixeira is (just barely) on the same level of Pujols.

I agree with Slomo, the Teixeira/Santana combo is better imo because the gap between Santana and Peavy is greater than the one between Pujols and Tex.

I do too. I think the difference between Pujols and Tex is more than the diff between Santana and Peavy. Also I would rather have the best batter than the best pitcher.
