Agreed with cordscords. Bash the post if you don't agree, not the player. Bags is a class act.

there is a difference between being able to play and being able to play like he used to (or like a 17 million dollar a year player). i think bags will still be able to play, but he wont be anywhere near what he used to be. the stros dont want to pay 17 mil for subpar production from 1b. he wont have fantasy value either. best case scenario is probably low 20s in homers and that just aint going to cut it from a 1b.

I didnt say MVP --geez and I didnt say mid round sleeper.
Curious if anyone knows of the 17 million, how much was deferred from previous seasons? Willy T gets the shortest straw in this deal.
If he is available late in the draft say maybe the second to last round take a gamble on this sleeper.
I'm not going to be like everyone else and see a ranking of someone and jump on the wagon. This wagon may be gravy train to most but I really feel he can contribute. If he doenst, you lose a last round pick. Big deal!

Bagwell was a great player, but Sammy Sosa still thinks he can play, too.

I think I am going to have to disagree. Yes, Bagwell was great. But that time has passed.

This poast weekend at Fanfest he was signing autos and taking pictures and so on. Would you do that for a team that just told you , that you cant play the game good enough? I know this may seem like a crack enduced post but dont pass him up late in the draft.
Have you ever seen a player who didn't think he could still play? Sure Bagwell can go out and take up a roster spot but he's not near the player he was and I don't think he wants fans to remember him as a player playing past his time.
You don't have to like 'em to own 'em!!!!

I'll eat crow if I am wrong but If I am right you can try toting around my jock strap. Last time I checked Big Mac retired before years of trying to prove he can still play.
