Two of the people that I was really surprised with was Liriano at 57 and Capellan at 88. Those both seem to be way too high to me. I do really appreciate all of the work you put into a pts based projection though. Thanks

Great points, and I would never suggest drafting Capellan as the 88th player. However, he gets the "Value" ranking because he has a higher projected points per inning than the avg if the top 55 SP. Same for Liriano. It just points out that you could get value from these players, especially if you can get them much later than their "Value" suggests. ;-D

yellowdog, with this scoring system. Santana is not worth that many points to start with. No SPs are for that matter.

If I have Santana with 18W, 0S, 238K, 2CG, 0SHO, 48BB, 66ER, 183H, 0HBP I get about 131 total points. And he is the top pitcher. RPs blow this away...

Am I missing something?

Now RPs shouldn't be drafted. Is there a Pos requirement where you have to have a certain number of SPs and RPs?

Actually RPs are vital in most points leagues. Even the worst of the closers will avg. more points per inning than the best starters. A closer might earn 400 points in 70 IP, whereas a very good starter would have to pitch about 130 innings to earn 400 points. Of course, this is only important assuming a maximum innings limit. My league has a 1200 inning max.

Which is why you do it by IP. That is useful. I will see if I can add that tomarrah. Thanks for the feedback...

I'll see what I can do, but it'll probably be Wednesday before I can get to it.
