There was talk that he might play LF field and have Olivo start. That's been scrapped now but he must be a pretty decent athlete for a catcher. Anyway, unless you're in a NL-only I really don't see any reason to take a chance on this guy. I rarely carry two catchers and there will be a baseline veteran sitting out there for the taking.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
