What do the Cubs have in store for the kid? I know he's still pretty young, but with Patterson gone are they concidering making room?

Did you forget the Cubs got Pierre to play CF now? Anyways he needs another year or two in the minor to develope more. If he was brought up to quickly it could really hender his development. The cubs already rushed one talented CF prospect, they shouldn't make the mistake again.

I'd say about 2 years, but I can see the Cubs calling him up before then. Pierre is signed through one year at the moment, so if Pie makes big strides I wouldn't be surprised if they brought him up next year.

He should be up for a cup of coffee this year and possibly up full time in 2007. Great prospect in almost every way.
