Eric Gagne in 2006?

Is he healthy? How will the stats look? will there be a drop-off? or is he the same old Gagne?

All good questions that I'd like to know as well...

From what I've heard lately he's throwing well off the mound and even considered pitching in the WBC...but has since decided not to and should be ready for opening day.

But how good he'll be is the bigger question...

Supposedly on track for opening day. He should be fine (I hope), he's recovered well from this sort of injury before. All reports have indicated good recovery, but who knows for sure?

I think he'll be okay. I think he's definitely a #2 closer though because he's coming back from that serious injury.

I wouldn't rely on him as my number one closer, but his value at
#2 is strong. Could be a steal, but an injury that serious is something that shouldn't be taken lightly. Personally, I think he'll bounce back from the injury and put up solid numbers.

he'll go too early for me, but most "elite closers" do. In lesser leagues(yahoo pubs, beginers leagues) someone will take him on name value. In shark leagues, someone will take a gamble on him thinking he will be the steal of the draft. Either way, it wont be me.

He's recovering from a major injury, and there were some steriod rumors(not saying its true, just remember hearing whispers) On top of that, the team isnt all that great. If for some reason, i could get him as my 2nd closer, id take a shot. However, that will never happen.

I think that if you monitor his progress in spring training and all looks OK, it would be worth the gamble to grab him as your #1 closer, if he's still available in round 6 or 7??? I think he's that good.
