I want to be able to read the Cafe forum at work. However a company name Bess keeps coming up saying: Blocked under the following categories - games

The thing is I can get to my yahoo team page (games) and everything, but cannot get to the Cafe forum.

Does anyone know how I can get around this firewall?

Thanks

You mean the company that's paying you to do a job, actually expects you to work? Shame on them. :-D

Sounds like we've got another JTWood/StlSluggers dilemma!

Sorry X-factor, you're gonna have to drink your gimmickey Gatoraid san FBC, because if you're company's smart enough to filter the cafe (unlike mine, not that it matters, since I'm an ADMIN, BOO YA!), then you're not smart enough to get around it.

Buzzkill. The cafe's a great at-work time waster ;-D

did I say "waster?" I mean, "fulfiller"

I try to look at it during my lunch, which is only 50 minutes.

It's a website you can go through that hides your IP address and gets you around school or office blocks.

proxy is another server (computer) that all of your online traffic goes through. It redirects your information, think of it like a middle man.
You have no frame of reference, Donny. You're like a child who walks into the middle of a movie...

Basically because we don't allow posters to post here from a proxy. Everyone is responsible for what they post here, and for us to track someone down through a proxy takes quite a bit of time and effort.

Besides, there's really no legitimate reason to use a proxy. If there is one, I'd like to hear it (and no, using a proxy to get around the work firewall does not count as legitimate).
