I'd rank Giles higher if you play in a league that counts BB, or OBP

Why? Because he's nowhere near as good as people are making him out to be. People are going way overboard on him. But I won't repeat myself here. Suffice it to say that it appears the bandwagon has another victim.

So then platoon Giles and Holliday, if both are playing in places where their stats indicate they do better, then both can play and another outfielder can sit. If one is at an advantageous place and one is not, then the platoon goes into effect,

So would you platoon Teixeira? He was player A.
Would you platoon Soriano, if he was still in Texas? He was B.

No, I said to platoon Holliday and Giles. Tex still put up 13 homers and 56 rbi's on the road, along w/ 43 runs. Whereas Holliday hit a whopping 7 hr's, 35 rbi's & 25 runs scored. Big difference when you look at #'s beyond the OPS.
Sorian still hit 11 homers, scored 42 runs and stole 16 bases on the road.
I agree with pedantic, Holliday is receiving way to much credit right now. He hasn't even played a full schedule.
And while Wells has decline the last couple years he hasn't had ANY protection in the lineup. Now he has a 40 HR guy hitting behind him and he'll go back to .300, 30, 100, 100 and 5. Now i could just be a homer but Wells lineup is far better than anything he's had the last couple years.
Anyway, here's how i would rank them:
Damon
Wells
Crisp
Giles
Holliday
Thats how i have them ranked. but of course some will have more value than others depending on where they end up in the draft.

That's basically what it comes down to. While I think that Holliday is getting overhyped, he has good value if taken around 10-12 rounds and great value if he happend to fall further.
In my keeper league, I am going to have the last pick in round 9 and the first pick in round 10, if he is the biggest bat available, then I have no problem picking him up. Off course I'd have to nab him a platoon partner.

You don't think he can go .290 27 hrs 90 rbis with 10 sb? I bet he hits those numbers. Only Damon earned more last year, and Holliday missed 37 games. Will have to put this in the prediction thread.

Count me in on Holliday. I ranked Damon ahead solely for the fact that he is proven. Holliday clearly has more upside, but I would still take Damon ahead of Holliday.
