I'm in a new 12 team 5x5 keeper league.
We've finished drafting and the concern is how to raise or lower prices of players for next season and beyond.
We originally said to raise each player $5 each year. Some managers are concerned though. They over bid on some top players (eg. Santana $38, Texiera $45 etc.) and alot of good players were available late for bargain prices (eg. cory sullivan $2, Contrearas $4 etc).
How do your leagues handle the pricing for next year?
We have a $260 cap.[/i][/b]

Well, it really wouldn't be fair to the people who drafted smartly to change the rules now.
As for pricing the keepers for next year, some leagues do as you guys did and fix an exact amount to the players salary, such as the $5 you did. Or, you can use a tax method, such as 10% after the first year kept, 7% for the second year, etc.

I agree. I've seen some leagues who allow an option year for the same price as drafted and then the player must be put back in the draft or you can sign a long term contract, say , 3 or more years at $5 per year and at the end of the contract the player is sent back into the draft.
