The business of sports should never be "deadly serious" and I don't doubt for a second that those ESPN people think that it is. It's a game and this story is silly, at best. If anything, it should just show that it's not serious at all. Believe me, I work with enough Steelers fans that some people think that sports are deadly serious. Now I love baseball more than anything, it's practically an extention of my personality. But I've never punched a hole in a wall or screamed bloody murder because the Mets had ANOTHER losing season. I just hold out hope for next year and shake my head at guys like this:
