Whats this kids ceiling? What do you expect from him? He's not as well known as some other SS (Wood, Upton ect.) However, he puts up pretty decent numbers for a SS prospect. Thoughts?

I have heard very close comparisons to Tony Fernandez, the man Jeter replaced in NYY-- if you remember him. Very similar builds and hitting style. But I don't think he is nearly the prospect that Upton and wood are. Still a solid SS prospect though- 2006 will tell alot.

It's hard to say what his ceiling is, cause no one really knows if his power will develope at all. He shows very good power (to hit possibly 20 HR's), but only in batting practice. The good news is he has great speed, a good bat, and is a very good SS. If I had to throw out some numbers I'd say around, .280, 10-15 HR's, & 20+ SB's ... the rest more or less depends where he bats. He really needs to work on walking more if he wants to be a table setter, as of right now he really lacks in that area though.

I saw Arias play last year. Arias is a "wiry" kid, and really has yet to fill out. I don't think he'll ever be a stocky guy, but don't be shocked if his power numbers rise sharply in the next two years if can bulk up a little bit. For whatever it's worth, the kid just looks like a baseball player.
