He was the #4 pick in the draft in 05,batted around 330 in low class A and AA. then 380 for the nats near the end of the season. He will start with Vinny gone. Any thoughts on him???
I wouldn't draft him unless you were in a pretty deep league. He could post an average around .300 and most likely 10-15 HR's, but from a 3B that isn't much.
In A/AA though. I can see him breaking double-digit homers in Washington, but not by much. Given the rest of the offense, he probably won't be a big r/rbi guy (depending on where he's hitting) and he's not been a big basestealer. He's a fine late round backup pick (especially as it's not out of the question he gets SS eligibility) but I wouldn't bank on him as a regular.

everything i've read about him has said his biggest asset is his glove. heck, some stuff has said "best defensive player in the country". i'm not sold that he'll gain a power stroke, and he seems to not take walks very well (at least that's what him pro career has said). combine that with the fact that he's at RFK, and we're not exactly talking about the star on your fantasy christmas tree.

his only start there last year he booted two balls, and with castilla gone and guzman still around, he seems pretty locked in at 3B. the nat's may experiment with him at SS a little more, but I'd be surprised if it lasted 5 games, which he would need to be eligible there in Yahoo!
and it just doesn't really make sense to take a gold-glove 3B and turn him into a SS when there's no real reason to. I mean, it's not like the Nats have Andy Marte waiting there to take over (although maybe they could try to ship off Soriano for him. hmmmm....)
