Who bats second in Boston this year....Loretta or Nixon?

If Nixon's spot drops from 2nd to 7th (behind Lowell), then much of his value on draft day disappears, no matter how good a shape he is getting into for his contract year. Even in a platoon situation, he becomes suspect.
OTOH, Loretta will be highly undervalued, as a spot between Crisp & Manny & Ortiz is a great spot in the lineup.

All signs from here point to Loretta. Nixon't trouble with lefties always keep him down in the order.

Kevin Youkilis would bat second before Nixon for sure. Nixon still really cannot hit lefties so if by some chance he did go higher in the lineup, it would be against RH only.

Loretta seems best suited for 2nd unless Crisp scuffles as the the leadoff guy and then you might see them swapped in the lineup, Loretta first, Crisp second.
