Where will he be in the rotation? Does Liriano factor in at all? What type of nubers do you think he might put up?

Last I saw he was going to be 4th in the rotation, and if Liriano starts it will be in place of Lohse not Baker. I think Baker is a great sleeper, who will give you above average stats in everything but k's, which makes him highly underrated, because most people looking at prospects look for high K numbers...

I agree. He is an above average pitcher who isn't impressive but reasonably consistent. Don't count on him for ever becoming an ace, but a nice 4-5 guy in your rotation. I think he will put up those numbers this year.

Baker is fifth in the rotation but will not lose his spot because he is cheap ($400,000) and under the Twins control. If anyone goes it will be Lohse, who will wind up with $4,000,000 or so in arbitration and is a free agent next season. If the Twins need to make room for Liriano, it won't be Baker that gets moved.

Baker is a solid no. 3 or 4 major league starter right now, but he is really polished and doesn't have much more of a ceiling.
