League Settings altering draft strategy

Don't worry about a closer run...if you have 5 closers then guys like Valverde/Ray/Gonzalez will be fine for you.

Don't forget speed as their is always someone who drafts huge bats but forgets guys who can run.

I like Figgins with a 3rd round pick in this format. He won't get many errors (for a 2B) while playing in the OF for the angels.

I'd look at something like Ortiz, Hafner, Figgins with my first three picks. (Power, Avg, speed, few errors).
An unemployed jester is nobody's fool.

Hey guys thanks for all your help so far...but I have one more question. What if my league decides to use the Yahoo scoring instead of the scoring we have in place now? Where an 8-3 lead means your record at the end of the week is 8-3 instead of the system in place now where at the end of the week it is only 1-0. Is it worth it? There will still be more batting stats than pitching and with my draft strategy I should have a better chance at getting saves anyway.

Just wondering...this situation probably won't happen but I want to know whether or not to go to a more traditional draft strategy if it does. Thanks again! ;-D

Change

Well, it definately will change things, but I think that if you get good closers then you would win saves, whip, ERA, and probably losses, so it still might be a good strategy.

Anyone else? Unfortunately it is looking more likely that we will use a normal scoring system with 6 batting categories and 5 pitching. We are opening a vote. Will my plan still be successful?
