In our league we have a 1 round Rookie Keeper draft and can keep the prospect for only 3 years.

I know Justin Upton and Alex Gordon have a ton of hype but if I am looking at just that 3 year window would any of these be better selections?

Chris Ray - Looks like he will be the closer in Baltimore to start the season. Does he have the talent to harness the job long term?

Steven Drew- will come up before Upton and will likely stay SS

Kenji Johjima- thoughts?

Anthony Reyes- Battling Sir Ponson, but will be in the Cards rotation at some point

I am just weighing my options and would love to hear your opinions.

id take Reyes, he's the closest to major league ready & should give ya 3 solid years, not sure when the rest will come up & Ray will be a gamble as all closers are

Anthony Reyes has nasty stuff. He should certainly beat out Ponson.

Ray will be the closer, could be like Jenks possibly.

If you need SP take Reyes, if you need RP take Ray.

If you want value on immediate help take Reyes.

If you want the best value period, take Upton.

I don't know if I would take reyes, just because of the concern that the Cardinals will go with Ponson... Reyes was ready last year, and they only called him up for like 2 starts... If you need SP though, he should help when he comes up... Ray and Reyes are the only ones that will definitely help you this year, though I fully expect Drew to be ready for the majors this year, and he will certainly be starting next year, so if you are willing to wait a little while he wouldn't be a bad pick.

Depends on your needs, but Even with that window of three years... Upton, and especially Drew would be sweet picks, and have most upside! If your looking for pitching... As long as Reyes stays healthy...He will be a stud, and in that Cardinals rotation, should be a 15-20 game potential winner immediatley...

Is Delmon Young available? (He would be my #1 by far)
