I love how people forgot to watch how sick he was last year. If you don't think Felix can be a top 10 SP next year, you might be selling him short.
please...
Explain how this is impossible?
No one said it was impossible. It's just unrealistic to expect a 20 year old to be a top 10 SP with limited experience. He started off great when he first came up but then was more human after that. Expect him to hit more bumps on the road as he learns how to pitch facing MLB hitters over a long grueling season.

Ok. Felix Hernandez is only pitching about 190 IP this year tops. He plays on a bad team, so his win total will be around 12. He's not a K an inning guy, so he'll have around o 160 K's at best. Hernandez wasn't unstoppable last year by any means, giving up 11 ERs in 10
IP in the middle of September.
I think Felix will do fine next year, in fact, I think he can be a top 20 SP (Though maybe a little less because of the bad win totatls he'll have.) But there is no value in Felix Hernandez as he's going too high in draft. It's almost impossible for him to exceed fantasy expectations, as the kid is being ranked 8th or 9th overall as an SP.
I'm not wasting my time on Felix unless he's around in the 7-8th, where he'll actually provide some value.
...Boston papers now and then suffer a sharp flurry of arithmetic on this score; indeed, for Williams to have distributed all his hits so they did nobody else any good would constitute a feat of placement unparalleled in the annals of selfishness. -Updike
hm.. i like rich harden a lot this season.. i think he is under rated and that you will be able to nab him a lot later then he should be.. the guy is going to be a top 5 pitcher this season..
1 Johan Santana
2 Jake Peavy
3 Rich Harden
4 Pedro Martinez
5 Ben Sheets
6 Roger Clemens
7 Mark Prior
8 Roy Oswalt
9 Carlos Zambrano
10 Roy Halladay
You are probably mostly right here Ramst23, except for the one thing that you are way off base on.

He averaged 10.2something per nine as a 19 year-old in a hitter's league @AAA. That's his upside, and if he throws 190 innings, he COULD register 210+ on Ks. IMO he starts returning value after the 5th round, earlier in a keeper.
Also, Sheets is as good or better than anyone not named Johan.
IMO both Felix and Cain are being way overhyped for next year. Both had bad walk rates at AAA, and you shouldn't expect them to be studs next year in their first full season in the bigs.
