Mark Prior???

I'd watch Prior during the Spring. If he comes out strong, throwing well, has good command of his pitches and doesn't over-do-it.... I believe Mark will have a much better season and should be on most peeps starting lineups.

I agree w/ his age he has huge upside, but as a fan I am weary after watching him so close the last few years. He is still good even when battling injuries, just not great. I look for him to play well, but still have a few small DL appearances. If stays mostly healthy for the season will have a huge year in 07. Definately a winner in a keeper league.

i dont know y people are so down on him freak injuries and did you not see his era in the fisrt half of the seaon if you took away 2 bad inning from the first half his era woul dhave gone way down to like 2.5 or something like that i cant rember but he had two bad inning both with the cardinals one was the gram slam inning were he was 1 pich away from ending it before the gram slam and the other one was the first inning of another cardinals game were i think they scored 5 or 6 runs in the inning

I would take Prior cause of the upside as said and knowing that he could get injured I still think his value is just to good to pass up if available.

For whatever reason, Even when Mark was healthy last season he wasn't anywhere near as dominant as I think he could be...He has an outstanding fastball and nice control, but I think he needs to develop a third pitch to go along with his fastball and breaking ball...He's tough to face for sure, but i dont think he will ever dominate leaning too heavily on that fastball.

Before the injury 4-1 62Ks 2.9ERA 1.08WHIP 1CG I would say he was pretty dominant.He really only had two bad innings during that time also.I think he is going to have a huge year,and it is his contract year.Just no more freak injuries

How will he do this year...will he finally stay healthy all year, and be a Cy Young contender...or is he overhyped, and injury prone?

Prior is not overhyped at all, he's most definetly a Cy Young talent.

Just has the injury bug! I'm staying away...let someone else bite their fingernails wondering when he'll go on the IR.
