Brian Fuentes

I think Brian Fuentes will once again have another good season as he did last season. He surprised a lot of people and I think that stat wise he will be great.

He was a free agent over the off-season and still no one really talked much about him and I'm surprised that not too many clubs really went after him. He could have easily been a good solid addition to any team knowing that he is capable of getting the stats he had this past season.

I think he should have another good season if for no other reason than he should get more save oppotunities this year. The junior Rox are growing up, and the 7th/8th inning(s) should be shored up with the additions of King and Mesa.

Yes, I believe he will have another great season. He's got one, if not the best, K/9 innings rates in the Majors. And he's effective at Coors!

I have him around 18th on my RP rankings, so I suppose one could label that a good season. ;-D

I've heard alot of good things about James Miller, a stud closing prospect in AA. Anybody know when he'll be up and have they seen him pitch?

Haven't seen him pitch, but I've been hearing great things about him as well. I believe he's starting in AAA this year, but don't quote me on that.

With Fuentes signed to a mulit-year deal however, I don't think he'll close for the Rockies for a while if ever. A possible closer of the future is Juan Morillo... he throws 100+ mph.
