nothing against casey, because i'm sure he's a really nice guy, but he's not top-tier baseball talent. this town loves him because he's a great guy. the reds have gradually coached their fanbase into rooting for a pleasant trip to the ballpark. baseball, for the past 10 years, has been an afterthought.
and yes, moving casey was long overdue.
the firing of o'brien and hiring of krivsky are two huge steps in the right direction.
