I am doing an auction league with a 260$ salary cap with a 23 man major league roster, and a minor league draft. I am looking at my fantasy magazine, and it doesnt show how much their starting cap# is, does anyone know how much the usual auction league salary cap is?

the industry standard for auctions is a 260 cap with 23 man rosters, so 99% of the time any dollar figures are published, they deal with that game.

so you should be ok.

If you could get him at $40.00 that would be a steal. If he played in the AL he would go for $52-$55 in my AL only. If Manny went for $52 last year he currently would top that. Vlad went for $50 two years ago.

Thats because $40 is his value, meaning that is what he will generate during the year, not what people are paying for him, which is a different kind of value.

$60? Wow that seems steep. I would anticipate a max deal of about $48-$50 b/c there is too much value in a mixed league to take 25% on one player of your entire cap space. No way I'd go for that. Heck, ARod went ofr $47 in my AL only league ad he seems most comparable in terms of stats...

I would rather have Arod at $47 .He adds steals as well as the other four catagories. That $13 could buy one or two decent players later.But if Arod was gone I would very tempted to go $60 on Albert.
If I would be willing to go that high the others bidding were will to go close. Then thats what the market is bringing. Yeah most of you think WOW !!! $60 for one player. But every league is different. That sounds like mine.
