Betemit or Aybar

which SS would you rather have in your minor league roster?

Betemit who's blocked by Renteria or Aybar who's blocked by Cabrera (also has top prospect B.Wood right behind him)?

Depends, if you are hoping to actually get to use him this year then Betemit is your guy, since he will back-up at SS and 3B this year, if you want the guy with more upside it might be Aybar, but he has almost zero chance to play this year, with Maicer Izturis and Chone Figgins able to replace anybody on the infield for the Angels. Also how can Betemit go on your minor-league roster when he was with the braves all last year and logged like 300 minor-league AB?

Niffoc nailed it pretty much. The only thing I would slightly disagree on is if something happens to Cabrera long term, aka trade or bad injury. If that happens I think Aybar will get playing time, Figgins doesn't really have the arm to play SS and Izturis is a util player at best. Unless you want somethng like 100-200 AB's from a back up, take Aybar.

our league is 400AB before a player loses their ML eligibility....thanks for the insight!
