Brushes for the GIMP?

I am somewhat limited in my backgrounding by using the Gimp. Is there any way I can download new brushes to use with the GIMP software? If so, can you tell me how to do it?

Hmm..

I don't know if their are downloadable brushes for the gimp. I'm not much help, but I would also be interested to see if there are any brushes out there to download. I remember when I first started out, I couldn't find any but now I'm using Photoshop CS so it doesn't matter.

Go to Deviantart.com

Click Browse and select resources under browse and then for the drop down-box below that select Gimp brushes.... If you don't understand ask someone who knows how to give goood directions

Where do I save brushes at in Gimp?

When you unzip the file, extract the brush to My Computer - Program Files - GIMP 2.0 - Share - Brushes. Then click "Next" (or whatever it says to continue, I forget). When you open up the GIMP, they'll be there.
