Being Venezuelan I would tell you that Ozzie will try to get as many fellow country players as possible. Freddy Garcia is an example, who not only Venezuelan, but also married to Ozzie's daughter (or Ozzie's son married to his daugther, something like that).

Maybe the Abreu trade is not true, but someday you will see something similar happening, like Johan Santana, Carlos Guillen or Willie Taveras playing for the White Sox.

This doesn't make any sense. Maybe Ozzie has a liking for Latin players. That makes sense since he is a Latino. However, you aren't going to see the Sox becoming the Venezuelan national team. He was such great friends with fellow Venezuelan Maggs Ordonez last year, remember?

But hey, if they want to go out and get Santana and C Zambrano down the line because they are Venezuelan then I am all about it.

Garcia is married to Ozzie's niece.

You are right. I was exaggerating and went a little overboard.

Yet my prediction is to see 2 more Venezuelans in the next 4 years. That is more conservative. And they don't have to be the caliber of Santana... Anybody that needs a little development would qualify in Ozzie's mind (Taveras, for example).

I like what the White Sox did over the winter and look forward to a successfull season.
