Who is the next Albert Pujols, or, more appropriately, the next #1 fantasy baseball pick?

Really depends on what you mean by "The Next Pujols". Are you looking for a carbon copy of him, in other words a minor league player that is somewhat comparable? Or a guy that could put up the standard 5 cat stats that he has? Or a minor league that will come out of nowhere and jump to the majors and produce?

It's hard to compare him to anyone in the minors, he was a very very rare case. Delmon Young could produce similiar 5 cat numbers w/ maybe an edge in SB's but not as good of an avg. Also Pujols is that one in a generation talent that all of a sudden became much better as a major leaguer.

Overall, the best minor leaguers to have a chance to be a future #1 pick is either Delmon Young or Justin Upton IMO.

Ryan is like 25 or 26 too old to be the next Pujols. I would go with D Young as the next fantasy stud.

I've been watching BB since 1970 and Pujols is the best hitter I've ever seen. period

My picks are Delmon young. And Justin Upton. Felix hermedia
