Diamond or Niemann

I've been offered one of the two (along with Ryan Sweeney) for Johnny Gomes. I'm not going to be able to keep Gomes anyway and I have space on my prospect roster to add 2 bodies. Which of the two would you take?

Niemann is the better pitcher, but Diamond is probably closer to the majors.

I would take Niemann.

Niemann has the better chance to be a good pitcher, while Diamond has the better chance of making a solid career. Basically saying Niemann has injury issues, while Diamond doesn't. So you can take a risk on Niemann or play it safe w/ Diamond, but I doubt he will ever be that good in Texas.

Thomas Diamond deffinetely hes a great Strike out pitcher and hes the best prospect on that team now and he has the quick route to the MLB

I don't think Niemann will be up in July, I know he's coming off an injury, but I'm not sure what the time table for his return is. I still haven't decided, but I'm leaning toward Niemann...although the D-Rays record with pitchers could dictate otherwise.

Niemann will get a late start this year, but will be pitching in May. So chances are he won't be up this year, unless it's just a cup of coffee. BTW neither organization has a great track record with pitchers as of late.

I'd Go with Diamond with Niemann Being a slight injury risk.
