Where is Jeff Weaver going to sign?

Postby Music2004Man » Thu Feb 02, 2006 7:31 pm

I was just curious if anyone had heard any potential suitors for Weaver?

Thanks

Talk about falling off the map.
Texas? Anaheim? Baltimore?
Who has money to spend? The Mets?

The Mets could probably grab him after losing a few SPs.

He's probably worth a shot, but we've all seen him in NY before. :-{

I say he signs with the Angels. They already have his brother as their future ace in the minors and right now Hector Carrasco is their number 5 guy, yuck! I say he signs and is either 3 or 4 man in the rotation.

most dont believe jered weaver is a future Ace. Although he dominated in college, he's projected to be a # 3 in the pros.

Hard to believe jeff cant find a market. He's a good option if he is in a pitcher's park
welcome home andy

For two straight years, the Detroit Tigers shortly after the Super Bowl, made surprise announcements that they had signed Boras clients that were finding a tough market. On February 2, 2004, it was Ivan Rodriguez. On February 7 (or was it the 6th?), it was Magglio Ordonez. While I think this time around it won't be the Tigers, it could very well be a surprise team.

Yeah Weaver in NY did so well the first time we may as well be entertained watching the Mets endure that this time.
