Ben Sheets OK?

Postby maestro1313 » Thu Feb 02, 2006 5:22 pm

Just was looking at a mock draft over on yahoo. (Brandon Funston)
He did the mock draft down to 23 rounds of 12 teams... and never picked Sheets?

I know the back is a concern... but below Glav... Rogers and Rincon?
Know he wants to pitch in the World Tourney...
Anyone know anything else out there as to why he would be ranked that low?
Just wondering..
Thanks

That was what I was thinking...
I'm going to drop and email to him...
Has to be an oversite in his mock.
Hell, Sheets was wanting to pitch this March, so he should be OK.
I'll post if I find anything more.
Thanks

It much better to be confused with people then alone! :*)

Went back today and he is there. (Search found him this time... )
He is at 7-7 right below Vernon Wells...
So I feel better, but I'm not sure he was on there yesterday... but either way...
All is right with the world!! ;-D ;-D
Have a great season

Sheets at 7-7

Postby mbgolfer4life » Fri Feb 03, 2006 10:16 am

Sheets at 7-7 is a steal! I've kept him for the last 2 years and even though he had the injury, I'm not hesitant to keep him again. Toooooo much potential.

Traded and got him last year... (right before the back acted up) but I'm still pretty stoked that he is my 3rd/4th starter...
3rd depending on what everyone thinks of Burnett... personally, I like Burnett... but no where near better then Sheets...
Have been trying to trade Burnett while he is hyped... but no luck yet.
Deal is always close...but can't quite pull the trigger.
Have a great one folks...

Sheets finished last season on the 60-Day DL with a tear to his right latissimus dorsi muscle. He does have a big upside but the injury happened to his throwing arm side. :-? Have to see how he responds when pitchers report to spring training.
