Not happening.
First, we wont be out of it at the deadline.
Second, i dont think we would go out of our way to give Radke the homeopener and then dish him.

Brads 11-8 in 2004 got him the opening day start in 2005 over Johan's 20-6.
I'm all about respect...however...Johan's is past due...

Yeah, it's not so much his 11-8 as his accepting less money as a FA to stay with the Twins, showing loyalty. I'm sure Johan was fine with it.

Ok, i'll admit I may have underestimated the relationship that the organization and more importantly the fans have with Radke. But at some point you have to move on, in which they seem to be doing...most teams would have moved on sooner...maybe that IS a good quality in the Twins.

common, now. i'm glad they're doing it like this. if nothing else, it's a signal to johan and the other individuals that they're playing for an organization that respects it's veterans. and to be honest, that's the type of oraganization i'd like to spend my career with.

I am glad to see the Twins pay respect to Radke cuz he deserves it but Johan is the clear-cut ace of the staff.

Reason to do this
1. Show respect for Radke
1a. Teams sell out opening day no matter who is pitching. So start Radke in the opener and you get a sellout. Start Santana on day 2 and you get a sellout because Santana is throwing. So this way the Twins get two sellouts vs one if they pitch Santana day 1 and Radke day 2.
