Good point. They also have a sleeper in Cla Meredith who has good stuff and had an early audition last year. He wasn't ready then, but might be this year with a 1/2 year in minors. They are pretty high on him in the FO.

A bit OT, but I hope we can persuade Wells to stay this year. If he's the one traded, we end up with an entire rotation of hard-throwing righties, bar Wake. He's the only lefty and the one guy who relies primarily on control. Especially if we don't start the season with DiNardo in the pen.

that's why we need to trade Wells to the Padres for prospects and then put together a nice package for Zito. Imagine Zito, Beckett, Paplebon, Lester, Arroyo in a couple years?

That my friend, is something I can only hope comes to fruition. That rotation would be simply UNSTOPPABLE!
