They are one in the same.
Keeping the two party structure in place is the biggest conspiracy of them all.

That would just be silly and sad.
It's just another conversation, there's plenty of non-baseball related conversations going on in here.

Usually when things get too political, they lock the thread.
The Mets will win the World Series this year.

Not anymore.
We have been pretty respectful in our debates over politics.
You have no frame of reference, Donny. You're like a child who walks into the middle of a movie...

Politics are fair game, but mentioning specific people or parties tends to get a thread locked.

That seems pretty ridiculous as well. The things are mutually inclusive.
How can you have a conversation about politics without people/parties entering into it?

I think what he specifically means is saying things like "Bush is the biggest moron of a president ever," or "John Kerry is a flip-flopping douchebag," or "Hillary Clinton has a crooked vagina" or "Dick Cheney is a Dick."
I mean, comments like that are really nothing but inflammatory and don't do much good. We can say things about sports figures and such, but statements like those just start unnecessary debate. I think politics here should be fair game as long as people back up their opinions with some sort of fact, or at least some truthiness.
Then again, hopefully we can all say what we please about idiots like Pat Robertson.
