BEST LINEUP IN THE NL?

I'm really suprised to see the Phillies at the top of so many lists.
Would anyone want to take the time to explain the rational for that?

Well they were 2nd the NL last year in Runs and had the best OBP. A full year out of Howard should make them better.

Hmmm, I also think the Phillies are top 2, 3 at worst. They are very deep.

Here is what PECOTA thinks of the Brewers lineup for OPS. That puts their starters OPS right around .800 add in pitching and bench and it drops to the .770 range most likely but that would have put them around the 3rd best hitting team in the NL. I really think the people sticking them in the bottom 1/3 of teams are going to be wrong on this lineup.

Yeah, I agree with you. I think those projections are pretty good, although I see higher for Jenkins and Koskie, and maybe a smidge lower for Fielder. The reason I see higher for Koskie will just be due to his situation -- he should only be starting against RHP. Over a three year span (2003-3005), he posted an .892 OPS against righties (as opposed to as .647 against lefties). Hall and even some Cirillo should be taking near to all the starts at third against lefties.
