Day of Draft: What to bring?

Our drafts are usually first thing on a Saturday morning. I need my coffee. Other than that is my basic rankings, ranking by position, couple of mags...

I use the roster sheet to keep track of who every other team takes. In a draft you have a better chance of predicting who will fall to you based on which positions the teams drafting in front of you still need. In an auction, I like to initiate bidding on players at positions that I already have filled but the teams with the most money left still need. A highlighter is a must. If you cross off names in pen you can't read them very well. The calculator is only necessary in auction leagues, and is used to keep track of how much cap room each team has.

just as good. the point is to have caffeine and a food type that isnt messy. cheetos are bad news. the cheese could get all over the cheat sheets and/or keyboard.

The one thing I make sure to have their besides beer, is a fake list of players you are targeting. Make sure it is left in a spot the is viewable by others at the live draft. Put players you really don't want, or think are over-valued on it and let others try to "steal" those players from you, or get you to overbid on them. Do this every year at my Live Auction draft in Phoenix. I don't think it works anymore, but it keeps people thinkin.

I get like 4 other windows up, my own cheat sheets on my computer, a mock draft somewhere online, a page with player stats if I don't have a magazine with me, and other websites rankings. And then Ill always have the magazine or two lying around.

Then I'll get like a beer or pop and some cheez its. Also get a jedi saber so in case the late rounds get boring and slow you can waste time practicing your moves

Last years injury doesn't make this year a flop (injury type most important).
Watch out for players changing locations - negative points
Contract year - positive points
Supporting cast - don't want an rbi guy batting leadoff
