I will spend my next to last pick on him or last pick if he is still on the board. he is a high risk player, and if somehow he puts an entire season together...he is a very high reward player. but i will fill my pitching staff before getting him

I'm wodering. Dont get me wrong I like Kerry Wood but I got a few KL drafts coming and even tho hes young I might pass up on him. Is that a good idea or no?

He could be a dark horse. But i wouldn't draft him until late, and i wouldn't expect most managers to take a risk on him, especially in yahoo leagues, even in 12 team leagues, where the roster sizes are so small. It all depends on spring training, so keep an eye out for him. he's just started pitching off of a mound, so watch for news for him. cubs are being very cautious, and he might not even start the season

I took him in the 17th round of our draft (about 200th overall). I think he was pretty reasonable there considering what was left.

Based on his potential the 200th pick is a steal... I mean if he's successful this year (as he generally is when healthy), you have 2nd or 3rd round value, if not, then you can easily cut bait (since if he isn't successful he's most likely injured) without having given up much value.

looks like another simulated cy young for wood this year. most overrated, overhyped pitcher of all time imo. still has yet to win 15 games and most Cub fans treat him like he is a shoe in hall of famer

it shouldn't be a major setback, ESPN's Sports Reporters said he would only miss an additional week or 2, and is supposed to come back around May 1
