I am checking into getting Vonage for my house and I wanted to see if any of you guys use it and what you think of it. Do you have any connection issues? Does it slow down your Internet connection at all?

I use optimum voice, so it's kind of the same. Just remember, no power, no phones or no cable, no phones. And if you have an alarm system, and it's connected to the phone line, realize that your alarm will also be shut off incase of a power outage.

I've been using Vonage for almost a year now. I absolutely love it. We have had no issues w/ the connection and it hasn't caused any problems with our HSI. I know quite a few people that have it (working in the HSI business, we geeks like it), and none of them have complained about it.

See, I pay for a cell phone so I totally don't understand paying for a landline of any kind... of course if I got one, I'd definitely use Vonage. It seems stupid not to.
But really, I pay about $60/month for a cell phone and it's not like I call someone every night to tell them my life story.
