A Barry strange ideaBy Kara Yorio - SportingNews
If you thought Being Bobby Brown was a train wreck, just wait till you see what ESPN is hoping to bring its viewers this baseball season. The network reportedly is working out a deal to air a weekly documentary-style show that follows Barry Bonds in his quest to become the all-time home run leader. Cameras would be with him on and off the field. It's difficult to imagine who in the Bonds camp thinks this a good idea. It could play out disastrously for the bitter, often angry, media-hating Bonds. Of course, that would make for some must-see television.

doesnt the media follow him around pretty much all the time already? i guess he figures he may as well get paid for it. if he does things right i suppose it could allow him to rebuild his image.

Do they get to videotape his meetings with Dr. Ting?
Do they get to see him apply the flax seed oil into his butt?

I thought this might be called "The Incredible Shrinking Man". It would also follow around Jason Giambi on the east coast.

I doubt Barry or anyone in the Giants organization would agree to this. Last year, Pedro Gomes of ESPN followed Barry around all year. ESPN had better hope they got alot of footage then. It was obvious that Pedro was the last person Barry wanted to see on any given day. Or, they better hire someone like Bobby Bonilla to do the following.

1. Because he is a better baseball player than every player in your city.
2. Because just like these threads, that's what the baseball fan is talking about.
3. Who is gonna watch anything about Jeter or A-Rod (sure they can play baseball, but honestly their stories are just too boring).
4. This might be their way to steal the homerun kings footage when another broadcaster is airing the game.
