I used to work a semi-famous central-Pennsylvania amusement park (Hersheypark) and an area where I worked in played a loop of semi-popular songs. REM's "It's The End of the World As We Know It" was one of them.

As a result, I know every line, and when the song plays in a bar I recite the lyrics word-for-word it's apparently the coolest thing ever.

Not a bad bar trick.

It's also a good point to note that REM is a superior band to U2. See how people squirm from that.

Yeah I love old Ride stuff, but not a fan of Catherine Wheel. Not sure what of Ride you heard, but Nowhere is one of the best albums of the 90s.
