tier listing like that is the way to go. i've been ranking my guys like this for the past couple years and it helps a lot on draft day.

Has everyone completely lost faith in Carlos Guillen because of an injured season?

yes. injuries do more to shy people away from players than a bad season. one leads to more it always seems. hes high on my "injured last year but will thrive this season" list.

love the tiers fellas. get some more positions out there with the tiers, its so easy to read, makes total sense, and really helps in a draft since often the EXACT player you want isnt there, but someone in his tier may be, nad its nice to know who to turn to if someone "steals" your pick.

Just what is it that makes Rollins a bette rpick than Furcal or Reyes?

Rollins hit 290 12/54/115/41

Furcal:
284 12/58/100/46

Reyes:
273 7/58/99 60

Rollins and Furcal look like pushes statistically.

Reyes has a little less power an avg but a lot more steals

I can't see the argument for putting them in different tiers.

rollins will score a lot of runs this year with utley, abreu and howard behind him all year. also, rollins went on a tear at the end of the year last year. furcal moved parks to a pitchers park and reyes is inj. prone

Rollins is streaky...for good and bad so I don't see why you would think that his numbers were going to spike because he finsihed 05 strong. Remeber Rollins's 04 start and how horrid he was back then? He is already scoring a lot of runs. I don't see the number jumping above 115-120. His power is the same...and the rbis wil not change much.

Reyes is more of an injury risk based on his track regcord, but I would think that is at best being overly paranoid there. Furcal is essentially the same palyer as Rollins and a move to LA is likely to increase or keep those SBs coming, not decrease them. His power if it goes from 12 to 10 is effectively meaningless in that regard as it relates to the home stadium.

Thanks for posting those stats, I didn't realize they were so close statisticly. I was considering putting Reyes up a tier but i'm gonna wait until spring training to see if his plate discipline has improved at all. His runs could see a fairly big increse with delgado hitting behind him now. If everything comes together and doesnt get hurt he could score 115 runs.

Another thing...I also see Furcals runs and RBI going down. The braves had a better 2-3-4 combo then the dodgers right? I don't have the time to go look at the numbers right now but jeff kent is no andrew jones.

I'm going to go make a few changes to my rankings now ;-D

You think? Lugo is the only one i would consider taking over him, and thats if it was late in the draft and i needed steals. I realize he wasnt gonna keep hitting like he was before he got hurt but he's still the rockies full time shortstop and has a much bigger upside then everybody listed lower imo.
