Lance Berkman

In light of Bagwells probable (?) retirement, does anybody see Berkman starting 15 games in the OF this year? I have a glut of 1st base guys, (Pujols, Sexson & now Dunn) taking up 1st, CI and DH. I would much prefer starting Lance in the OF rather than at my Utility because if I don' use the Util slot, I can start an extra pitcher and my team is loaded for offense. So far trades have been no good, but keepers haven't been submitted yet. We keep 10.

Thoughts?

I would guess the Berkman makes at least 15 appearances in the OF during this season.

yeah, i would think he gets 15 OF starts.

If Bagwell doesn't come back I don't see why he would make any OF starts.

I don't think he gets starts, I think he plays there though. Say if Pamiero pinch hits they sit Taveras and move Berkman to OF. Just an example.

Just checked. The rules are "Games PLayed" not games started. I guess that counts.

He played 50 games in the OF last year, are you in some sort of a league that adheres to uber strick position eligibility rules?

Yeah. It's 25 last year or 15 this year for the first half. BUT. At the Break, he is only eligible where he is playing or has played 15 games this year. We call it the Vinny Castilla rule. or the Chipper Jones rule lately.
