I would think Lowell has the first crack at the long term 3B job depending on his performance this year. Then the Sox have the option to move Youk back to 3B and go get a 1B. Again, much depends on what Youk and Lowell do with the bat this year. Their defense should not be the problem.
Crisp's numbers should continue in a slight upward trend. He is leaving a good offensive lineup for a potentially great one and he should be given the green light to take 2B without a good #2 hitter on the horizon.

Let's hope Boston is able to wiggle Ryan Garko as well as a decent bullpen arm away as well Cleve has tons of depth at 1B and either Aubrey or Garko needs to come back. Both of those guys could be the answer at 1B in 2007 and makes the loss of Marte that much easier to swallow.
