So I just came back from that movie and I'm suprised to say it was really worthwhile. I saw the first one on tv and I was satisfied with it, but part 2 was really good. It's a great action movie with a little love story to the side. I really like the evolution of the vampyre and warewolf aspects too. I'd give this a ;-D to anyone interested in watching it.

I thought the first one wouldn't be too good, but I rented it and liked it. I thought this one didn't look too good, either. Maybe history will repeat itself.

I just saw it about 3 hours ago, it's AWESOME!!

Kate Beckinsale is one HOT mamacita, with some good skin scenes.

Gorier than the first, for sure.

The first one was good, I'll be planning on seeing it eventually. The only flaw in the first movie was that the werewolves didn't look very good on the screen, it looked like they used costumes almost. Are the characters done better this time?

they did use costumes for the first one. very well-made ones actually. i saw a "making of" thing (probably on the DVD). i prefer that appraoch rather than just doing cgi for everything. cgi has gotten a lot better but you can still tell the motion isn't quite right.

They look a little better, but the fight scenes are definitely much better.

My wife wants to see it, and we both liked the first one, so I guess we'll be seeing it soon. Thanks for the reviews. ;-D

OK, so the promo talks about a war going on between "vampires and lichen." So, my first clue that I probably shouldn't see this movie is that, to me, lichen are symbiotic organisms made up of algae. Since when are werewolves lichen? (I figured that out on my own... sort of).

Anyway, if the werewolves and vampires are busy kicking each others asses, why is a hot chick like Kate Beckinsale so concerned? I mean, she's hot... she could be out partying and getting laid. Instead she wants to fight supernatural creatures? I don't really buy it.

But, in any case, I heard from my fantasy/sci-fi loving friends that the movie is awesome. Just not really my cup of tea.
