You wake up in the middle of the night to check your league message board.
I was in Los Angeles, and the team was playing in San Diego, but I didn't know it. I had taken LSD at noon. I thought it was an off-day. At 1pm, my girlfriend and trip partner looked at the paper and said, "Dock, you're pitching today!"

When someone mentions the songs Enter Sandman or Hells Bells, the first thing that comes to mind is not Metallica or AC/DC but Mariano Rivera and Trevor Hoffman.

when you think of yourself as your fantasy team name! ..... ratts forgot his name sometimes in late august of last year .... so now i'm just ........ the ratts!
