draft list

Postby oakiedragon » Sat Jan 21, 2006 7:34 am

Now, don't get me wrong. I love my annual prospect lists, and i agree and love the purpose they serve but i think that it will be extremely tough to get a community list. In the 2 years that i have used this site i have noticed that there is a massive difference of opinion on which prospects belong where. Thats why i use this site so much, the opinions vary so much that it gives you a good idea of the plus/minus of each player. I mean lets be realistic. The annual "top" lists serve as a tool for determining which prospects to focus on. The number at which a player is placed usually does not factor into how well the player performs. For example Scott Baker was not on any major minor list last year and now he is being listed as a sleeper and a good long-term bet. Also zach duke was not listed higher than 20 on any list i saw and look at what he did. So good luck on the list, i am interested in seeing how it turns out but lets not get too hyped about who goes where because its really about learning about who is out there and who we should all keep our eyes on.

I'm having some trouble with this. The lists aren't using the stated criteria to qualify. I want all the guys who have less than 130 at bats or 50 innings pitched. This means if you don't have Hermida, Fielder, or Cain on your list, you better think they're going to bust in a big way. I'll send out a reminder to people if they don't include these players, I guess, but anyone who sends one from here on - please save me the work and the results will come faster.

For the first time I will be drafting prospects. I don't know that much about them so I would really appreciate if you guys could PM me your lists.

Really? I'll send some to you along w/instructions how I'll be working. Let me just make sure the lists are all uniform first. The first time I'll have an opportunity is Saturday. But I'll hopefully have this done by Monday.

As it is, I could use 3 more lists of 50 if anyone is willing.
