I'm just wondering about multiplayer gaming online. If you buy a game an register etc, you are able to play multiplayer online. So what then when you buy a 2nd hand copy? I would assume the person who is selling the game has made a copy and is continuing to play it - so would that stop you from trying to register and play it on your computer?

It depends on the game. If the games relies on the CD key to play online I would avoid buying it 2nd-hand. I play Sacred online and a buddy purchased it 2nd-hand from Ebay and had problems getting on because someone else was using the key. If it's an MMORPG type game then no need to worry because the CD key isn't that big of a deal.

1st person shooters use the CDKEY to validate on their servers. Don't buy it second hand. Once someone is on the internet with it then it is usually taken. For example you can buy the game but he will still use the cd key

What if you download a game and it has a keygen? Does that generate a new key everytime it runs? If so will it work?

I've never used a keygen on a 1stperson that worked for Multiplayer.

The problem is two things possibly: 1st that the keygen creates keys already taken by paying users

Or the keygen creates keygens already taken.

I've never got one to work online

Ive played a few games Ive gotten through torrents and used to keygen. Most times it works and not a bad idea.

Well you can play the games..but a lot of online games verify the key through their servers...

I'm a gamer junkie and I've tried but never got a keygen to work online.

As for TW Online EAsports make's you setup a username and password. And I think you need to register the game to get it.
