My top 40 Prospects

Ok fellas, my league does a 5 round draft (40 picks overall), so I took the liberty of averaging some of the rankings I've found, and came up with these 40 guys ranked in order ... Your thoughts? Did I miss any big names here?

Doing a consensus of other people's rankings is not the best way to do your own list. I hope you're just doing this as a guide.

Yeah, J. Upton is the most glaring omission.

I dont know the rules in your league, but Felix is not a rookie, perhaps he doesnt belong. If he belongs, then shouldnt B.J. Upton also?

Jenks should be included. AFter all, he's the closer on the defending World Champions.

I think Markakis belongs somewhere. I would take Hamels and Weaver off. I think Gordon should be a lot higher.

Some others to consider: B. Anderson, C. Gonzales, Tulo, Adam Jones, K. Morales, E. Aybar (status w LAA is uncertain, but lots of SBs).

For our purposes, Felix Hernandez would qualify as rookie, but as our Minor League Draft Comes after our Major League Draft, he will surely be gone before then. I know a lot about the Rangers minor league system, not so much about others save for the most publicized guys like Delmon, Prince, etc. I've seen such discrepancy from expert to expert as far guys like Hamels, Philip Hughes, Kubel, and nearly everyone else. The only guys I've seen consistantly high are FIelder and Delmon ...

wood should be in the top 5 of any minor ranking. Also u missed Morales who should be in the top 20 easy. Others are Homer Bailey,
Jon Paplebon is a big one and also Saltalamacchia as well should be moved mabey 10-15 spots higher
