News Ticker

I need some help.

I want to create a more interactive news ticker for my Fantasy website.

We currently have a flash animation, that I have to update. I would like to have it so others can add text to it, such as news briefs. I know it is possible, but I am not sure how to do it. Something simple, that is instantly updateable.

If anyone could give me a reference, I would appreciate it. Thanks
