As long as he can stay healthy, he defiantly has top of the rotation potential.
BTW, I know your being helpful Members Only Jackets, but it's probably not the best thing to post an entire paid for bio on Hughes. In the future it would be best to just sum it up while giving good info on him.
Hughes is definitely a top talent and could become a top of the rotation pitcher in the next 2 or 3 years. He has good size, solid pitches, and seems to have good mechanics as well. We will just have to sit back and see how he does this coming year, and see what the Yankees decided to do with him if he does impress again this year.
how high would you rank hughes amoung the other 2006 prospects
i have a proposed trade of me getting eric duncan for him, i want to see how you guys would rank him (hughes)

baseball America has Hughes above Duncan...

hughes has some great potential, but i would hesitate to put him too high on prospect lists because he only has 90 innings under his belt (albeit an impressive 90 innings). I would like to see a full season out of him.
Duncan is an interesting prospect. I think he is better than he has shown last season at AA last year. While I wouldn't read too much into his torrid offensive display in the AFL, i think that does speak to his talent. He has great makeup, takes walks, has 30 HR power.
They are pretty even in my mind and both have a good shot at being impact players on the Yankees in the near future
