06/10/1892:
Wilbert Robinson of the Baltimore Orioles set a major league record after tallying 7-hits in 7-at -bats as his team topped the St. Louis Browns 25-4. Robinson also set a second record after driving in 11 runs with 6 singles and a double.

Cesar Gutierrez went 7 for 7 as well but it was in a 12 inning game. Stennent is the only one to go 7-7 in a nine inning game since 1900.

Yes, it was a mistake by me, two players have had 7 hits in a 9 inning game.

But remember, it was a two part question. You didn't say how many home runs they hit.

I think this should be a voided question, but that's not my decision to make. I'll let a higher authority make a decision on this one. Stupid MLB.com didn't recognize Wilbert Robinson.
