I dont know about everyone else, but I wasn't exactly jumping all over Javy Lopez in the first round of my draft. Though he certainly has not been putting up THE BEST numbers in baseball, he has been outstanding, Fantasy-wise, if not the MVP, I would say that he is easily the biggest surprise and "most helpful" to any team that either picked him up off of waivers or drafted him in a late, late round.
I actually have Kendall and Javy and am at about my wits end with JK. Although I can't argue with Pujols as fantasy MVP thus far, Javy's numbers are an absolute joke and his 2 dinger, 6 rbi performance single handedly won my 12 team, $200 per team, h2h game this week. Sweet sweet Javy!
Now if Burrell wouldn't mind going 1-4 instead of 0-4 everytime, then I would be a little more comfortable with my 7 game lead.
Just to further the Javy/Kendall thought... the Kendal guy in my league was leading by a LONG way at the time of the trade. I went for it because I needed HRs.
7 Weeks later, I'm now leading. Kendall guy is swapping FAs like the world is going to end, esp catchers. hehe.
Yeah his numbers are amazing. My catcher position gets me nothing but a slight boost in average.
I start Charles Johnson in Coors only and with some bench time against bad matchups, he's batting .366 on my fantasy team. I was so proud of the average that I never went to pick up Javy. Javy would have really helped my team more than a half-used CJ.
The key to Fantasy Sports is NOT about Sports but rather the "manipulation of numbers" in your favor
I dropped Marrero for Javy right after he rolled his ankle, and have risen to the top of my league. It also helps that a few guys named Pujols, P. Wilson, Ichiro and Halladay have also been producing.

I know Lopez owners hate to hear this, but you should really consider trading him.
